Our foundation considers the education of children to be one of biggest priorities in Mali. In small, remote villages, the Mali government will provide funds to pay teachers, but they won’t build the buildings or purchase supplies. Some elementary students will walk 4-5 miles to neighboring villages to receive an education. This can create classrooms with over 60 students per class and, at times, require the school to run in two shifts to accommodate all the students. Your donation here will be used to build a 4-classroom elementary school in a remote village in Mali that currently has no school.
