Flooding

Flooding

In October of 2024, the Saraha desert region experienced some of the highest amounts of rainfall in recorded history. This rain has caused intense flooding, affecting millions throughout West Africa. Over 300,000 people in Mali alone have been affected. Many Malian homes are built from mud and straw. Thousands of these homes have been completely washed away or damaged beyond their ability to be lived in. Our foundation has made a goal to rebuild 130 of these homes in two villages that were so inundated by flooding that they could not get supplies during the UNICEF relief effort due to inaccessible roads. We have dubbed these “the forgotten” villages. Their entire season of crops was destroyed, leaving hundreds of families penniless and without food. Help us feed and house these disaster victims!
